We got some hot sunny weather for this lucky date of 08-08-08.
The wedding was held at the Calgary Zoo which was awesome. I loved the Safari Lodge for their reception…plus when Jeff and I left for the night we got to wander around on our way out and see all the animals out because it had cooled off and there were no people around! LOL
Rory was so excited and nervous to be marrying the love of his life..it was so cute. Lisa was a beautiful bride who loves Rory with all her heart. Jeff and I totally LOVE couples who are sooo madly in love with each other
All the guys are Vancouver Canuck fans except for one groomsman so he got picked on big time. haha. Even Jeff brought his jersey…what is with men and their hockey teams???(see the picture below, Jeff is shooting the guys!)
There was definitely a bit of a hockey flavour to this wedding (poor Lisa) even the little flower girl had on her flames shirt when she was dancing up a storm.
I hope you guys enjoy your pic’s…your theme of black and white was beautiful and we had a great time.

We had a really great time with these two..the evening was beautiful and they put up with Jeff and I doing some flash experimentation as the sun went down
They are off to explore the world for a few months in the next few weeks and I must admit I am a little jealous! hee heee
Enjoy yourselves and I know you are going to LOVE all your photos!

I have often thought if it’s possible to sum up the emotion of a wedding in one single picture.
As I edit hundreds of picture’s I happen upon this one and think..”YES it can be done”…I think I found it.
The joy on Thao’s face is so pure and this wonderful candid moment caught ” IT “..the magic of the day…

“I threw the ring at her and she said yes” was Kurtis’ reply when I asked how he proposed. YEAH RIGHT!
It was actually very romantic if you ask me…Kurtis was at the airport picking Trista up after she had been gone on a holiday, as she came through the arrival doors he asked her to marry him right there in the middle of everyone. He then whisked her off to the restaurant that they had their first date at. The neatest thing about all this is Kurtis had all their family and friends there waiting to celebrate.
I love stories like this…sigh
I will warn you ..there is a lot of kissing going on in these pic’s and some pretty funky locations. You guys were naturals and I KNOW you are going to love all of your photos!
Enjoy!

What a great time we had with these two, the wedding was absolutely beautiful, Tiffany made a stunning bride and Andrew could not wipe the smile from his face. They are so sweet together and they make a perfect match
Jeff and I REALLY have to thank you guys for putting up with the weather.
As it turns out…a storm blew in while we were heading out to the barn to do picture’s…we had maybe 10 mins (enough to get a bridal party shot, which I LOVE by the way!) before it started raining. Not only did it rain…we also got hail. These two toughed it out until we could no longer shoot because we were soaked, the equipment was wet and it didn’t look like it was going to let up. You two were unbelievable and we have some great images because you persevered.
They had a really cool reception…it was an “Oscar Night” theme and it was really different…there also seemed to be a lot of Audrey Hepburn & movie paraphernalia around…Audrey is Tiffany’s favourite actress and “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” is oddly enough one of her favourite movies!
We hope you enjoy your honeymoon and we can’t wait for you to see the rest of your images!
(Sorry I couldn’t post more, but I am really behind on blogging so I had to keep it short and sweet)

YEAH!!!! I finally had a bit of time to post.
Shannon and Aaron had a great wedding and it is totally obvious the adore each other.
Their wedding was held at Springbank Links, which was perfect because Aaron is a golf fanatic. Unfortunately a storm blew through and forced their ceremony indoors but soon the sun came out and we got some fantastic lighting for their pictures!
You two were an absolute joy to photograph, you are meant to be together and the passion between you two is undeniable! On a side note…I don’t think Jeff has ever had more fun shooting the guys getting ready. (I guess most guys don’t play hockey once they are dressed in their tuxes!)
We wish you all the best and hope you are having a great time on your honeymoon!
